How to use Salary Income Tax Calculator

  1. 1Confirm that salary is more than 75% of your taxable income (the salaried rates only apply then).
  2. 2Choose monthly or annual, and enter your taxable salary: gross salary minus any exempt amounts.
  3. 3Read the estimated monthly and annual tax, and the working below it.
  4. 4Check which slab you are in using the full rate table.

Good to know

The calculator applies the salaried-individual rate table from the Finance Act 2026: a fixed amount for your slab plus a percentage of the income above the slab’s starting point.

Included

  • All eight salaried slabs for tax year 2027, including the 0% slab up to Rs 600,000
  • Monthly figures as the annual tax divided by 12
  • No surcharge: FBR confirms the 9% surcharge on salaried individuals was withdrawn for this year

Not included

  • Working out which allowances or benefits are exempt; enter taxable salary
  • Tax credits, reductions or rebates, and deductions such as Zakat or pension contributions
  • Other income (business, rent, profit on savings) and advance or withholding taxes on it
  • People whose salary is 75% or less of taxable income, who use a different table

This is an estimate, not tax advice. Your employer’s monthly deduction can differ, for example after bonuses or mid-year changes, and your final liability is settled in your return. The Zakat Calculator and Loan EMI Calculator can help with other planning.
