QR Code Generator
Make a QR code for a website link or a piece of text, and download it as a PNG image or a scalable SVG.
Runs in your browser. Nothing you enter is sent anywhere.
What should the code contain?
Your QR code will appear here as you type.
How to use QR Code Generator
- 1Choose Link or Text.
- 2Enter the web address or text. The code updates as you type.
- 3Optionally change the error correction or the PNG size.
- 4Download the PNG or SVG, and test it with your phone’s camera before sharing.
Good to know
- The code is made in your browser with the open-source
qrcodelibrary. Your link or text is not sent anywhere. - It is a static QR code: the content is stored in the pattern itself. There is no redirect link, no tracking and no expiry, but it also can’t be edited after printing.
- Higher error correction lets the code still scan when part of it is dirty or damaged, but makes the pattern denser.
- The PNG has a standard white border (quiet zone) around the code. Keep it: scanners need it. The SVG stays sharp at any print size.
Limitations
- A code can hold at most 2,953 bytes (at Low error correction). Urdu letters take 2 bytes each, so long Urdu text fits less.
- Text is stored as UTF-8. Most phone cameras read Urdu correctly, but some older scanner apps may not.
- Link mode accepts http and https web addresses only.
